DOLLARS & CENTS INVESTMENTS HISTORY Dollars & Cents Investments was incorporated in 1986 as a deposit broker business. Bev Bondy and Connie McGuire purchased the corporation in 1991 and in 1993 moved the business to 80 Richmond St., in Amherstburg, ON expanding the services to include income tax preparation and bookkeeping services. Frances DeDona after working with Bev and Connie for 5 years, bringing her many years of bookkeeping and income tax preparation experience, became a partner in the corporation in 1997. In 1998 Frances completed her mutual fund and labour sponsored training, allowing them to provide these additional products & services to the term deposit/GIC product line. In 2002, Dollars and Cents Investments became affiliated with MGI Financial Inc., formerly known as Rice Financial Inc., allowing us to shop nation wide for the best interest rates available, as well as offering back office support and guidance to more effectively help our clients reach their financial goals. Also in 2002, Robert (Chip) Thrasher joined the Dollars & Cents Investments team. Chip is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and fully authorized to provide mutual funds and life insurance products. His association with Dollars & Cents Investments allowed us to further expand our product line to include life insurance products, such as annuities and segregated funds to our clients. In 2004 Shelly Bondy became part of the corporate family and brought along her vast knowledge in the bookkeeping area. Having worked in the bookkeeping field for many years as well as providing income tax services, Shelly was a welcome addition. In 2005, Shelly and Chip purchased Bev and Connie’s shares to become shareholder partners with Frances. Management of the different divisions of services we offer is as follows, Shelly managing the bookkeeping department, Chip the investments and insurance, and Frances the income tax preparation side of the business. Our growth over the years has made it necessary for the need to move our offices to a larger and more central location, and as of January 02, 2009 moved our offices to 7-421 Sandwich St. S. in Amherstburg, ON.
